The grapes for this wine were sourced from a single vineyard in the Orange region and produced at Windowrie in Cowra.
The colour is a light, bright red in the glass which is a juxtaposition to the fuller expression of Pinot Noir that is to come. The nose has a candied note to red cherry and rhubarb, with fresh earth and plum fruit coming out with time.
The wine has an intriguing texture, red cherry and rhubarb are subtle initially however there is a build of tannin and broader red berry fruits that dominates the mid palate before a grapefruit like texture gives contrast and pulls things back into line. The finish has sage and pepper to darker berry fruits.
