The first wine released with Matt Harrop at the helm, it was produced from Mariafeld (75%) and D5V12 (25%) clones and kept on skins for 3 hours which has given it a distinctive pink hue . The wine was then fermented in old french oak barrels and aged on lees for 5 months; This is an example of a rose getting the royal treatment.
The wine maintains a purity of fruit, despite it's time in oak and on lees with maturation technique giving the wine it's generosity of texture; specifically there are subtle mealy notes to the mid palate which also enjoy impact of strawberry and cherry fruit. There is a floral aspect to finish that has a gentle creaminess to it and enough acidity to give length and send you back for another sip.
