2018 Oakridge Local Vineyard Series Hazeldene Pinot Noir

The Hazeldene Vineyard is situated in upper Yarra and closes out a trio of excellent 2018 releases from one of the regions top producers. A light red in the glass wth rhubarb and black cherry with freshly tilled earth on the nose. The palate is savoury, brooding almost but retains its varietal appeal with a lovely texture afforded by fine but impactful tannins. There is a sweeter spice influence on the mid palate before the wine draws to a close with an earthen build of red and black cherry fruit. Has the characteristics to live for a long time.
