2018 Oakridge Local Vineyard Series Henk Pinot noir

The Henk vineyard sits upon the red volcanic soils of Woori Yallock and consistently produces exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. A vibrant, light red in the glass with a nose of black and red cherry that starts to open up with rhubarb and spice with time.

The palate has power and drive of cranberry and rhubarb; there is an enjoyable interplay of baking spice and finely framed tannins that have a youthful disposition at this point, but will take on more earth and undergrowth with time. Tart black cherry frames the finish with the 2018 Henk a precise wine that will unfurl itself over the coming decade.
