A blend of Pinot Noir (50%) from the Adelaide Hills and Shiraz (50%) form the Clare Valley that provides quite a stunning nose which takes the dark cherry, rhubarb and earth the Hills is know for and is joined by spice and plum from the Clare.
The palate has a lightness to it, whilst having plenty of depth and concentration. There is a pepper and earthen edge to bright red berry fruits that have both generosity and crunch in the same breath. Rhubarb and spice frame the finish with firm, fine tannins that show undergrowth and faint lavender. A compelling drink to contemplate.
