There is something old world about this wine, with its savoury nuances and mineral backbone reminiscent of Burgundy; there is an earthen flare to dark cherry and plum that combines with bramble and lifted spice on the nose. The palate has a game and beetroot aspect with darker cherry and plum fruit. Oak gives a sheath of richness and spice before a finish that is savoury with just enough fruit to give dimension and contrast.
