It great to have a look at the Estate and La Cosette release side by side as the winemaking technique delivers wines that have the same underlying class but are stylistically so different.
La Cossette was fermented with whole berries and some whole bunches which affords it a more floral, red fruited disposition on the nose. The palate is open, and expansive. Red cherries and blueberry are etched with fine but firm tannin and the small proportion of new oak gives a sheath of generosity and spice. To finish there is a savoury pull, a touch of undergrowth like complexity and some smokey oak. A wine to drink whilst you wait for the estate.
