A medium red in terms of the colour with dark cherry having some autumnal notes as well as understated brown spice from time in oak. The palate is textural, savoury and more about undergrowth than primary ripe fruits; the fruit is certainly there but more black than red cherry and is tightly bound in its expression. Oak does show itself to finish and gives flow and a svelteness to the wine.
