A light to medium red in colour, the nose sees black cherry with rhubarb and a gentle line of spice; the palate shows good density of black cherry fruit with some smoked meats and spiced tones; tannins are firm but fine and acidity has the right balance to contrast the medium body of the wine. There is good length to finish with a continuation of the smokey cherry fruits and understated cherry pip .. maybe some whole bunch ? Great value at a tick under $29 retail.
