2023 Sidewood Oberlin Pinot Noir

I look forward to tasting the single clone releases each year, it shows the different characters that the clones bring to a finished wine, the Oberlin clone is less common in Australia and gives a very light colour in the glass but has such pretty aromatics with lifted strawberry and red cherry that is etched with the faintest brown spice. 

The palate has an undercurrent of spice and charcouterie that is wonderfully contrasted by precise but plush red berry fruits. The finish showcases textural tannins and fruit and earthen influences meld together with very good length.
