A medium red with some faint bricking around the rim; the nose has cherry, a touch of bracken and understated tobacco alongside citrus peel. The wine has good flow with a tautness of acidity that gives freshness and helps accentuate the savoury, fine tannins that carry the dark cherry fruit. To finish there is influence of tomato leaf and a touch of fennel. Good length with a general litheness of feel, yet good drive.
