2018 Nannup Estate Shiraz Malbec Tempranillo

A youthful and bright red in colour, the wine is a unique blend of Shiraz, Malbec and Tempranillo but it works. Malbec gives generous fruit forward characters that are then pulled back into line by more savoury and structural notes from the Shiraz and Tempranillo.

On the nose there are lifted aromatics of red cherry and deeper plum with some chocolate and spice notes weaved through. The palate shows more of a savoury side with earthen tannins layered amongst dark cherry fruit, good length to finish and the wine will reward a couple of years in bottle.
