			1989 was not a great year, the vintage was described as wet, wet, wet'. 
The wine is almost devoid of fruit on the nose with iodine and earth dominating.The palate has some structure through a tannin and acid profile that is still holding but what leathery fruit that remains has become a little one dimensional.
