Dalwhinnie South West Rocks sits between the estate Shiraz and the Eagle Shiraz and is of a consistently high standard.
Dusty blackcurrant with earthy eucalypt and meaty undertones, this is the type of nose that can only be found on aged Pyrenees Shiraz.
The palate has started to develop some secondary leather and briny olive characters that sit effortlessly beside blackberry and plum fruits with fine yet drying tannins framing the wine.
The finish has great length that is fruit driven yet savoury.
The 04 is really hitting its straps and will continue to evolve over the short to medium term.
