A medium to dark red in the glass, the nose has closed blackberry and plum fruit with a touch of licorice and undertones of cedary oak.
The palate is an earthy, savoury expression of dark berry fruit,in particular concentrated plum combines with firm drying tannins that strip any ripe fruit character, leaving lingering savoury elements in the mouth.
Over time I would expect the earthy elements and tannins to abate allowing the pure berry fruits to be more dominate on the palate.
