2006 Three Rings Reserve Shiraz

The wine has retained a deep red in colour with some bricking to the rim. Aromatics are typical of aged Barossa with secondary leather and earth lifted by spice and a melange of dark berry fruits. The palate has a choc mint like richness, yet it has maintained some balance which is a good effort given it came in at close to 16% alcohol. The wine enjoys a milk chocolate influence to blackberry and plum to finish. A drink now proposition but has held itself well.
