2008 Cobaw Ridge Syrah

The wine gives a youthful red hue in the glass despite being 8 years old, there was a small amount Viognier co-fermented with Shiraz which gives an ever so slight floral lift to what is savoury and earthen nose that is packed with dark plum and olive. There is juicy acidity that gives the wine structure and definition and provides a backdrop for dark fruits and a fine lattice of tannins to impress. The finish sees a dusting of spice on top of drying dark plum and good length.
