2008 Norman's Old Vine Shiraz

impenetrable red to purple in colour, nose shows blackberry and the slightest hint of menthol. The palate has savoury blackberry, with some richer plum fruit coming through. The wine loses it's way in the mid palate, with the fruit thinning slightly, until the well proportioned tannins come into play in the back palate. The finish is good with balanced acid and blackberry. This wine shows good promise, with the hope the gap in the mid palate with flesh out over time
