Inky red in colour the nose is dominated by plum and blackberry fruit with an undercurrent of tight grained vanillin oak.
The palate hits all the right buttons in terms of concentrated fruit, framing tannins , vibrant but restrained acidity and subtle oak integration.
The wine has an array of flavours starting with ripe blackberry fruit with a touch of plum and dark chocolate, that moves towards licorice and pepper in the mid to back palate, the finish is just starting to gain some developed earthy complexity and the wine will reward medium term cellaring.
