Tasting
If the black queen was a still wine, it would be an very good dry red, it is this uncompromising quality to the base wine that makes this an enjoyable wine, it has fruit and structure compared to sweet grape concentrate like examples that plague the style.

A dark red to purple in the glass, a briny nose with olive, plum and raspberry strap. The bead is fine and persistent, with the wine having a savoury core from which ripe plum, layered spice and a touch of leather build. Tannins are structural and savoury, excellent length to finish.
