The wine has a vibrant red hue in the glass, the nose has more obvious vanillin oak characters than some of it's siblings from the 09 vintage, the oak is by no means dominant and provides a subtle lift to the fragrant plum fruit.
The palate has impressive depth and mouth feel with plum, cloves and subtle spice balanced against supporting oak and fine, structured tannins. The finish has good length with dark berry fruits and a touch of cedar.
