Cooper Burns is a consistently good producer of structured and elegant Barossa Shiraz that have structure and concentration to reward extended cellaring
This wine comes from the much famed 2010 vintage, and lives up to expectations, it is a deep red in colour with a classic Barossa fruit driven nose of plum and redcurrant with a savoury sultry edge. Oak very much a second thought.
Lush dark fruits fruits on entry with sweet fruited plum that gains secondary leather and earth characters providing complexity and texture. The mid to back palate gives a suggestion of spice alongside firm yet integrated tannins. The finish is spicy and savoury with ample dark fruits supporting.
