I'm almost ashamed that this is the first Craiglee release that i have tried, i am generally a fan of Sunbury wines and remain surprised that varieties such as Pinot and Chardonnay haven't been the staples of the area given the proximity to Macedon and some cooler elevated sites.
The 2010 Craiglee has left a very good first impression, the nose is a floral yet earthy expression of blackcurrant, pepper and cedary oak, the palate shows concentrated plum characters that are lifted by a touch of spice and vanillin oak on the mid to back palate. The length is excellent with some secondary complexity starting to complement the primary fruit.
Will certainly continue to improve with age.
