Tasting
As the name of the winery suggests the fruit for this wine was sourced from the Gomersal sub-region in the Barossa Valley. This is the first time i have tried this wine, however it's reputation has proceeded it, i have often heard that it is a great quality for money wine and after trying i have to agree.
A deep red in the glass, the nose is classic Barossa with dark plum, touch of lifted spice and a more savoury side that sparks interest.
There is minerality, considered use of oak and textural acidity that give a complete wine for what is an entry level price. The wine is medium bodied with the right proportions of oak, dark fruits and spice, with a layered and enjoyable finish.
