The 2010 was a memorable follow up the the hot dry 2009 vintage with a yield of 8.2 tonne, and a moderate alcohol of 14.3% achieved.
This is a true benchmark wine, the nose is steeped in dark fruits with overtones of oak and a layering effect of floral aromatics that keep evolving in the glass.
There is an elegance on the palate that is in the textural spectrum of Pinot Noir, such is the finely filamented nature of the wine. There is a suppleness of fruit with dark cherry and plum the standouts, aged characteristics of leather and stem give an embellishment to finish.
As good a Heathcote wine as you will find.
