This wine was a real surprise with old world winemaking producing something of substance and complexity from a small winery in the Macedon Ranges.
An attractive nose that gives bay leaf and savoury camphor notes to dark plum fruit, the medium bodied palate builds nicely with oak spice and licorice integrated with plum and blackberry fruit, tannins are fine and supple with a peppery aspect to leathery dark fruits to finish.
Drinking well now and over the medium term.
