The 2010 Woodcutters throws an impenetrable black to purple hue in the glass, possibly the hallmark of many wines from the excellent 2010 vintage.
The nose is youthful and dominated by ripe plum, raspberry and wild strawberry, the palate is saturated with dark berry fruits of plum and blackberry that are kept in balance by integrated oak and a twist of licorice and spice.
The wine has great acidity and fine, firm tannins that provide a framework from which the wine can continue to develop over the medium term.
