Tasting
Andrew Thomas is one of my favourite producers from the Hunter Valley, his Braemore Semillon is consistently spectacular, but for some or known reason it has taken me years to taste his Kiss Shiraz, the flagship red.
The wine certainly didn't disappoint, it holds a deep red in colour with a nose steeped in plum and blackberry that is backed by complex oak characters. The palate is medium to full bodied and characterised by fine tannins and depth of red fruits that give it considerable textural appeal. The finish gives wood spice and length of fruit. A quality wine that will certainly cellar.
