2011 Yarra Yering Underhill Shiraz

This wine won't be for everyone, those who love whole bunch burgundy will be in their element. This is a wine that showcases a winery that embraces a vintage and runs with it. The nose is stalky, savoury and almost devoid of fruit, instead giving mushroom and undergrowth. The palate has a lightness and fluidity to it with dark cherry supported by crunchy acidity and generous stem spice.

This is a really interesting drink, there hasn't been an attempt to make it into something it's not, funky and interesting it is.
