2012 Cosmo Shiraz

2012 was an excellent year in the Yarra Valley, with a generosity of fruit and excellent balance a consistent hallmark of quality wines from the vintage. The 2012 Cosmo Shiraz is a glossy dark red in the glass with a nose that gives both spicy oak and deep aromatic plum, contrasted by wisps of white pepper and olive.

The wine is is medium bodied and complex with a background of cool climate spices and richer vanillin oak. The fruit is primary and dense, the tannins drying and framing. A very good wine that will greatly reward time in the cellar.
