A deep red with a youthful purple hue to the edge of the glass, the nose has deeply set plum with understated raisin notes.
The wine has a characteristic amarone style to it with raisin and dark cherry, oak gives a richness and there is an enjoyable saline and savoury edge that gives complexity and contrast on the mid to back palate. The wine finishes with drying tannins, dark chocolate and ripe plum. It will reward time in the cellar.
