A medium red hue in the glass, the wine spent 18 months in older american oak, with coconut oak aromas combining with cola and red fruits, given time in the glass there is a touch of old leather that develops.
The palate has a core of grainy coconut oak as a constant, it's from this core that brighter dark cherry and violets make themselves known, there is a fine, yet firm web of earthy tannin that drives structure on the long vanillin finish.
This wine needs a good few years to really come into it's own, after which it will continue to evolve as is consistently the case with exceptional single vineyard wines produced by Murray Street.
