A deep red in the glass with youthful lighter hues towards the rim, a wonderfully vibrant nose of wild strawberry and raspberry strap that benefits from spicy new french oak; there are savoury nuances in the background that will no doubt make themselves known with time.
As has been a consistent thread amongst the 2012 Murray Street range, the wines structure is excellent. On entry there is youthful red berry fruits with tannins that build across the palate highlighted by a leathery aspect that works against gentle oak induced spice. The length is considerable.
This wine will greatly reward medium to long term cellaring.
