Tasting
I believe that this wine has been labelled as Adelaide Hill's' in the past, it has been a consistently good wine from Petaluma that may not get the accolades it deserves when paired against it's running mate the Evans Vineyard Coonawarra.
The wine showcases exceptional use of oak, with a seductive sheath wrapping itself around dark plum and subtle peppery notes on the nose. The palate has a supple, plush mouthfeel that gets more serious across the journey with plum, spicy oak and tight grain drying tannins all providing contrasting perspectives. Considerable length to finish that highlights the wines cool climate roots with a peppery expression of plum and oak induced spice.
