The 2012 saw 25% whole bunch and was a 50/50 split between wild yeast and inoculated ferments, the wine was aged in new and used barrels for 12 months prior to bottling.
A deep red in colour, a floral nose with plum, dark cherry and hallmark Yarra Valley white pepper. The palate is round and supple with a great mouth feel, the fruit has structure and drive with soft tannins and gently spiced oak affording texture and complexity. The wine finishes with drying olive and dark berry fruits and is a very good example of cool climate Shiraz.
