This will be a polarising wine, it flips between a masculine and almost brooding structure to a feminine Pinot like wine almost on a whim, time will tell how good this will be.
A medium red hue in the glass with slight bricking towards the rim. The nose shows leathery plum, liquorice all sorts and background deli meats. The palate is medium bodied with gravelly tannins that get another savoury kick from pencil shaving characters, the saving grace is a light dusting of cinnamon spice on the mid palate.
The wine finishes with considerable depth, and i can't help but think this wine needs some considerable time to unfurl. I like it, but not everyone will !
