Bindi are best known for their strikingly pure and consistent expression of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that are sourced from the Macedon Ranges, the Pyrette is a Shiraz from Heathcote that's made in a mould of Southern Rhone with leather, earth and iodine a constant contrast to well defined dark fruits.
In terms of colour the wine is a medium red hue in the glass, the nose has savoury edged dark fruits with cured meat and iodine aromas. The palate has a leather aspect with plum fruit given a tantalising dash of spice that gives enough to contrast the savoury nature of the wine.
Long and drying length to finish. It's not the most giving wine, but it certainly has interest and drinkability.
