This was the pick of the wines tasted on a recent trip to McLaren Vale, there is an intensity and elegance to this wine that puts it in the top echelon of wine produced from the region.
A deep but youthful dark red in in the glass with a nose that is lifted out of the glass with spice laden oak and intense black fruits.
The balance of this wine is impeccable, dense plum and blackberry soaks up finely structured and attractive oak spice, tannins are tightly bound and approachable now but ensure a long term cellaring proposition, characteristic dark chocolate adds to the mid palate and leads to a finish that is focused and concentrated.
