This could well be one of the bargain Shiraz finds for 2013, with Alex Head crafting a wine whose quality far exceeds it's price point.
The nose has complexity and interest with baking spices complementing perfumed plum and blackberry notes. This wine is light on it's feet, with a savoury almost smokey core that is the perfect starting point from which plum and blackberry fruits weave their way through structural tannins and a dusting of spice. Considerable length to finish.
A superb release from a Barossa winemaker whose star continues to rise.
