Produced from the bio-dynamic Springs Hill vineyard in McLaren Vale, the wine was destemmed before being whole berry pressed, wild yeast fermented and matured for 14 months in 30% new french oak. The wine shows flashes of youth with primary blue and red fruits, and a backdrop of brooding tannins and savoury core that underwrite it's future development.
A dense dark red in colour with a glossy youthful hue towards to rim. The nose gives deep plum, blueberry, vanillin oak and a touch of liquorice. The palate is medium to full bodied with red and blue fruits set against generous spicy tannin. The finish is drying and centred red around concentrated dark cherry and plum This wine is delicious in it's youth, exceptional in years to come.
