Head wines continue to impress across their growing portfolio, offering everything from entry level wines of good quality through to some of the best modern day expressions of Barossa Shiraz.
The Head Red is a blend of barrels that didn't make their way into some of the Single vineyard wines, the nose has varietal plum with some savoury complexity, the palate shows a medium bodied expression of Barossa shiraz with plum and dark cherry given a light dusting of spice. The thing i like most about this wine is the expression of fruit rather than ok. The wine doesn't quite have the length as it's more illustrious stablemates but is a value for money wine.
