A dark red in the glass with youthful red hues towards the rim, attractive cedar oak is the highlight of the nose with understated savoury red fruits playing second fiddle.
The palate continues the thread of attractive oak influence, but pushes up against red berry fruits that are a little on the green side, the lack of fruit impacts the depth and mouthfeel of the wine and makes it seem angular and a touch bitter. The finish has a sheath of vanillin spice, brambly black fruits and tar with good length.
