A youthful red with purple hues towards the rim, the nose gives blackberry and richer raspberry fruit with spicy, sweet oak inputs. The palate has drying tannins that are both firm and have an astringency that detracts from varietal dark fruits. Oak gives a gentle line of spice, with dark chocolate and concentrated blackcurrant centre stage on the finish.
