The second release of Shiraz from Humis and even though the vines are relatively young the 2015 Shiraz is an elegant, slightly savoury and imminently drinkable wine that is punching well above it's $25 price point.
The nose has plush plum, pepper, a touch of charcuterie and floral spice. The palate is medium bodied and starts with flowing plum fruit that is slowly caught in a web of fine, drying and gently herbaceous tannins that gives breadth to the wine. The finish continues the savoury thread with a leathery aspect to driving dark berry fruits and a touch of textural grip that underwrites potential for medium term cellaring.
