The 2015 wines are dedicated to Willow Bridge's late senior winemaker Simon Burnell who played a major role in creating what is an incredibly good value range of wines under the Dragonfly label.
The wine was sourced from 17 year old Estate plantings and shows a youthful red to purple hue in the glass, in fairly typical fashion the nose gives graphite to dark plum and cherry fruits with cedar notes and cured meat showing themselves over time. The palate has upfront plum and blackberry fruit with drying tannins that build and a dusting of spice that gives contrast to the wines darker savoury notes.
Will reward medium term cellaring.
