A briar, peppery nose with plenty of plum and dark cherry fruit. The palate takes a little time to open up, but when it does it shows expansive plum fruit that has soft velvety tannins that take on an earthen note to finish with dark cherry and suggestion of spice.
A well made wine that is drinking well now and will reward a few years.
