2017 Gundog Estate Marksman Shiraz

A wine that's only made when the vintage dictates. This is a serious Canberra District Shiraz that has the pedigree to age but has already settled beautifully into it's peppery, medium bodied frame. The nose is a mix of brambly dark berry fruits with charcuterie and white pepper that is joined by subtle oak spice. The wine builds arounds subtle sage and rosemary with a suppleness of blackberry fruit; pepper and nutmeg accentuates the mid palate and there is an enjoyable savoury note that gives another layer to the dark berry fruits to finish. A wine that is sure to impress for a long time.
