A youthful red in the glass, the nose has stewed red cherry and plum fruit with cedary, smokey oak. As always a wine that is mouth filling with sweet red berry fruits that are centred on ripe plum. Oak is on the charry side of the spectrum and does give a drying bitterness to the mid palate, however is carried by the fruit. The value of this wine given the scale of production and distribution remains very good.
