2017 Three Elms Timbertops Shiraz

Frankland River is one of my favourite regions for Shiraz in WA, and this release from Three Elms doesn't disappoint. There is an intensity of aromatics with deeply set plum given a graphite and violet edge, with time charcuterie and old leather themselves. A tightly coiled wine in terms of tannin and acid, but the depth of plum and blackberry fruit is there to give contrast, there is bitter dark cocoa and a suggestion of oak spice to finish.

Thi wine will grow even more with time in the bottle.
