It comes at a significant price, but there is something special about this wine. It is not flashy or showy in terms of oak, but instead is built on the sheer concentration and layers of dark berry fruits that express themselves.
The nose is initially shy, but with time shows black plum and earth with a touch of violet and bitter dark chocolate.
The build of concentrated fruit on the palate is formidable, textured tannins and well proportioned acidity are caught up in the flow of black fruits that range from cherry to plum. There is just enough richness on the mid palate; it is the savoury structure that is the wines most interesting attribute. The length is excellent and is all about fruit.
A wine that will truly live for decades and decades.
